| [OOC ENTRY] ongoing series disclaimer |
[May. 1st, 2009 → 04:20 pm] |
The John Winchester associated with parabolical is played post-death, post-Hell (and presumable post-Heaven) from the end of episode 2x22, All Hell Break's Loose, Part 2, and has a game history that starts in November 2005 (November 2008 real time).
While the characterization of John will, at all times, be as canonical as possible and will attempt to incorporate (from episodes) or adapt (from non-episode 'secondary canon' sources, such as John Winchester's Journal) new information if it does not interfere with the ideas and history written into game 'canon', some events/information may not be used if they would openly contradict character history and/or game history written before the new information was distributed. At this time, the following are events that are different between game 'canon' and show or secondary canon.

| [OOC ENTRY] character development - John's journal |
[Nov. 10th, 2008 → 04:15 am] |
NOTES: Putting all my resources in one place. These can be considered 'canonical' because the journal was published on the Supernatural website. However, in 1.09 Dean says the first line in the journal is "I went to Missouri and I learned the truth" and that entry is about halfway through these. If John removed the more 'personal' entries from the journal, like things talking about Mary, before leaving it for the boys (which might be one factor in how Dean and Sam note multiple times that information has been left out of the journal), it would mesh these entries with the points in canon. Journaling from the start contradicts a scene in Supernatural: Origins, but that comic is on shaky canon territory in places anyhow, so I prefer this.
( entries from November 6, 1983 to January 1, 1984 )
Christmas is not happy for even John. ;_; But, there's even an entry after drinking. As Dani said, John Winchester didn't just write a drunken journal entry, he invented them. *snerk* other journal pages |
